Columbus Classic

Welcome to the online headquarters for our 2025 Columbus Classic soccer tournament. We're excited to host you in Columbus!
Thank you for choosing to attend our tournament. The Columbus Classic will host boys and girls teams ages U7 through U19 with games being played on some of the nicest natural grass soccer fields in all of Nebraska at Wilderness Park. This year, we will also host some 11v11 games at Pawnee Park's Memorial Stadium on artificial turf.
Our club strives to provide the best soccer tournament experience we can for our guests. Every consideration was made with our schedule to avoid long delays between games or early start times for those traveling from more than an hour from Columbus. While not always perfect due to field and referee availability, rest assured we look at every team's schedule for the weekend to avoid coach conflicts and meet special requests.

ROSTERS & CHECK-IN
Teams have until 11:59pm on Wednesday, June 4th, to make changes to their rosters. On June 5th, we will consider all rosters to be final. We will print copies of the rosters as they are at that time, and only players listed on the official printed copy will be allowed to participate. Any player(s) added to a roster after the deadline are ineligible to participate in our tournament. Any team found using an ineligible player shall be subject to our tournament rules for such circumstances.
Please add jersey numbers to your rosters (see the link below for the Affinity user guides).
Teams are allowed to club pass players within their own organizations. Guest players are also allowed. If borrowing any player from another club or organization, coaches must submit a completed Guest Player form to the Tournament Director at csctourney@gmail.com prior to the roster deadline. Any required out of state travel paperwork must also be emailed to the Tournament Director, or can be presented at tournament headquarters prior to your first game.

Because we will already have your state approved rosters on file, there will be no need for arriving early for check-in. However, just to confirm that your team has arrived, we'd appreciate it if a coach from your team could stop by our tournament headquarters to let us know you've made it to town. We'll need a coach to stop by to pick up water park bracelets anyway. Tournament headquarters will be located on the north end of the concession building at the center of the complex.
TOURNAMENT RULES
The rules for our tournament are available at this link
WATER PARK EVENT
We do need a coach to stop by headquarters to pick up your team's water park bracelets. Each player in our tournament will receive a bracelet for free admission to a special event at our local water park on Saturday night. This event runs from 7:30-10pm. Additional bracelets will be available for sale for $2 on Saturday at the water park for parents and siblings who might also want to attend.
SOCCER SHOOTOUT GAME
On Saturday, stop by and try your shot at our soccer shootout game. This event is hosted by Centro Hispano and will be a fundraiser for different charitable events they put on each year in our community. Cost is $2 per attempt with a variety of prizes available throughout the day. Trophies will be awarded for the winning boy and girl in each age division, and adults can take part as well. This should be set up on the north end of Field 6.
BENCHES PROVIDED
Columbus Soccer Club will be providing team benches at each field. Coaches and players will occupy the side of the field with the benches, and parents and spectators will occupy the opposite side of the field. See our field map for additional details.
REMINDERS
Please do not warm up inside the goal areas. This part of the field sees a lot of wear and tear, and we prefer to keep our soccer complex in good shape.
Dogs are not allowed at our soccer complex (service dogs exempt). Please share this with your parents and anyone else who might be attending.
Our soccer complex has just one entrance and exit on the southeast corner of our complex. These are marked with signage, so please use the correct lane when arriving or leaving our complex to avoid causing traffic issues.
Parking is available on the entire east side of the complex. There is also a smaller parking lot on the north side of the complex. Access to the north lot does cross over a bike path, so please watch for pedestrians before crossing through the north gate.
ROAD CONSTRUCTION
If you are heading to Columbus on Highway 30 from the east toward Wilderness Park, you will want to turn north at East 6th Avenue (on the west side of Wal-Mart) to get to our soccer complex. This road becomes Lost Creek Parkway and will take you to our soccer complex. Just turn south at the light when you reach 18th Avenue/Wilderness Road.
If you are heading to Pawnee Park Memorial Stadium from the east, you'll want to turn south at 3rd Avenue and 23rd Street (Highway 30). Take 3rd Avenue south to 8th Street, and turn right. Take 8th Street west across town to reach Pawnee Park.
If you are coming into Columbus from the south, there is now road construction for bridge replacement, so leave a few minutes early if taking this route. Take 33rd Avenue north to 38th Street. Head east on 38th Street until you reach 18th Avenue, and turn left (north). Our complex will be on your left. Pawnee Park Memorial Stadium is located on the south side of town and will be on your left as you enter Columbus from the south.
If you are coming into Columbus from the west on Highway 81, you'll want to take Lost Creek Parkway to 18th Avenue/Wilderness Road, and turn right (south). Do not take the highway across town as you could be delayed, and the intersection at 18th Avenue and 23rd Street is closed.
PAWNEE PARK MEMORIAL STADIUM
Located in Pawnee Park in south Columbus, Memorial Stadium was recently resurfaced with brand new artificial turf. At that time, lines were added to allow the facility to now host 11v11 soccer games. For this year's Columbus Classic, we tried to get every team ages 13 and older one game at this facility.
